Solution Compass participated in a Hack Competition in 2021, organized by internationally well-known Customer Experience Professional Association in Finland (CXPA Finland).

The participants of the Hack were divided to ten teams, who searched solutions for topical challenges, focusing on customer experience and service design. Due to the current pandemic, all the work was done in a health-secure manner online. Two experts from Solution Compass, Tuomas Ahola and Mika Kuutti, brought their own expertise and contribution for two different teams.​

The Human-Machine-UX (Ihmis-Kone-UX) team, including Tuomas Ahola from Solution Compass, focused on user experience and security of speech interfaces. The Human-Machine-UX team was rewarded with an Honorary Award, which was given to three teams after the Hack. The Honorary Award was justified by in-depth focus on user research, analysis of the needs of the user and explicit presentation of the results. In addition, the team explained the requirements clearly for lowering the barriers of using speech interfaces.
